Guided by the principles established by United Nations frameworks on gender equality and the empowerment of all women, this event invites a range of stakeholders, including civil society actors, youth groups, representatives from the United Nations Member States and the UN system working at the forefront of the human rights and women’s rights to discuss the successes and challenges in advancing more equitable economic opportunities women across different backgrounds. Speakers will share best practices in combating continued wage disparities based on gender and race as well as highlight the necessary role all women play in decision-making processes that affect them.
