Meet our Connectors: Ramzi Jaber (Lebanon) Ramzi Jaber is using design and technology to create and highlight data-based stories intended to inform public opinion about social justice issues and mobilize for social change. By presenting information and data that would otherwise remain hidden into a simple, compelling and informative visual tool, his work challenges false narratives that make it difficult to make progress on a social justice issue and enlists citizen sector organizations to use these tools in a way that will shift opinion and behavior. He is the cofounder of Visualizing Impact , along with Joumana Al-Jabri, a interdisciplinary organization that specializes in data visualization and journalism, creating visual stories on social justice issues. Visualizing Palestine, a project of Visualizing impact, has been featured in multiple news channels. Ramzi has also created Online Censorship , a space where communities crowdsource instances of censorship enacted by private online platforms. During the Spring of 2012 he was a fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law as a Social Entrepreneur-in-Residence. Check out Ramzi's profile.
